Brighton and Hove Albion fans heard a passionate plea to turn out in force to the March for Falmer during the Labour Party Conference.
The Seagulls want thousands of supporters to meet at the Sea Life Centre at 5.30pm on Monday September 26, before marching on the Brighton Centre, where Labour is again holding its annual conference.
Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott will make his final decision on the 22,000-seat Falmer stadium plan before October 31.
Albion chief executive Martin Perry addressed the crowd at Withdean Stadium before Albion's 0-1 defeat to Sheffield United on Tuesday night.
He said: "We have asked a lot of you all during the past six year.
"Now we are asking you to do one more thing. There are 6,000 Albion fans here tonight. We want to see every single one of you at this march.
"It will be our last chance to show Mr Prescott the incredible level of support there is for the stadium in this city.
"Let's get down to Brighton seafront and do everything we can to remind him that we need a new stadium and we need it to be at Falmer.
"It is the site that fits the Government's criteria better than any other."
