I would like to know which rocket scientist from Brighton and Hove City Council decided in their wisdom to erect a barrier on Hove promenade.
Three barriers are blocking the main entrance to the promenade, with a tiny entrance to allow people through. Mothers with large prams are unable to get through, disabled people with electric scooters are unable to get through and most people have to walk through in single file.
If the barriers are there to deter cyclists, they completely ignore the barriers. If this is not overkill by the council, I don't what is.
This obstacle is a wonderful monument to the council and should be awarded the daftest idea of the year award.
