Alan Nunn objects to a disproportionate support of the "gay agenda". Can I suggest that one of the main agendas of a civilised democracy is to protect the rights of its minorities? If this requires an unusually high representation, so be it.
As one of the "excesses" photographed and twice shown in this publication, can I point out that the day of Gay Pride demonstrated
how closely entwined are the gay and straight communities, with the involvement of many social services in the parade and at Preston Park.
As one who works on the gay scene, I rarely witness evidence of anything like the "dangerous road" Mr Nunn refers to, warning of a morally-corrupt culture.
I witness people out enjoying themselves and simply reinforcing the reputation Brighton has for a place to go and have fun.
At times hedonistic, yes, but morally corrupt? I don't think so.
