I would like to reply to some of the unfair criticism which has been levelled at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
During my four-day stay on Solomon Ward last week, following a visit to that much overworked A&E Department, I was treated with nothing but courtesy and compassion.
The nursing staff were excellent and the care I received was of the highest standard.
I was happy to note that efforts are being made to combat hospital infection and the cleaning staff were regularly to be seen on the wards.
I cannot fault the thoroughness of the diagnostic procedures. Every attempt was made to investigate my condition, with full explanations supplied at all times.
I and my family were entirely satisfied with my care and would like to extend our thanks to Mr McDermot-Gordon and his team on Solomon Ward.
