Mrs Jean Nehls, from the Friends of the Nigel Porter Unit, should be congratulated on her scanner appeal raising £22,000 in two months.
I was pleased to learn recently in The Argus that the Pink Dolphin Appeal will be funding the remaining balance for the urgently needed ultrasound machine for the breast assessment centre at the Royal Sussex County Hospital to enable this vital piece of equipment to be purchased immediately.
Everyone who has raised funds for and donated to both the scanner appeal and the Pink Dolphin Appeal, including The Argus from the Christmas Grotto funds and The Leader for publicising the appeal, has our heartfelt thanks.
