More than 200 of Brighton and Hove's leading managers in the food and drink industry got a taste of what this year's city food and drink festival has on offer.

This year's Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival is the third and promises to be bigger and better than ever, with Sussex food and drink producers and local restaurants at its heart.

The festival was launched last night at an invitationonly VIP party hosted by the Alias Hotel Seattle at Brighton Marina.

The festival has something for everyone and runs throughout September, providing what organisers promise to be a month of fun, fulsome and delicious events.

At the centre of this year's celebration is the A Taste Of Sussex festival market this weekend at the Corn Exchange in Brighton offering foody all-day fun for the whole family.

Other major events include a Regency Festival Banquet at the Royal Pavilion on Wednesday and the festival's popular Battle of the Bars final showdown at Komedia on Thursday.
