No doubt many readers were as incensed as I was to discover the ludicrously low price of 18p a litre that Sussex farmers receive for their milk (The Argus, August 22).
When even the cheapest milk in the shops is at least 60p, where on Earth does the rest of the money go?
Farmers are being exploited by processors and supermarkets. It's time the Government demanded a guaranteed higher price - which shoppers can afford to pay and dairy farmers desperately need to survive.
