- This seven-piece lineup including a three-piece horn section are back in Brighton playing a mixture of boogie-woogie, jive and rock 'n' roll. Red Stripe himself on piano and vocals leads some wicked big band arrangements all in true foot-stomping boogie-woogie style. There will also be a good sprinkling of jump jive and rock 'n' roll. - A night bringing together under one roof the best of Brighton's young, female singer/songwriters for some tantalising folk, jazz and funk. - Brighton bands get back to basics for an acoustic night of mellow sounds. The country-influenced Mountain Firework Company perform beautifully-crafted melancholy songs of love won and lost, with the odd drinking moment thrown in for good measure. Making "mini musical movies for the mind, ears and soul" The Hat have a jazz-inspired, literate bohemian vibe.
