How can Councillor Sue John get away with making such a monumental error in her letter (August 5) calling the proposed Waste Transfer Station at Hollingdean a "recycling centre"?
The site will receive 100 per cent of Brighton and Hove's waste, with 23 per cent being recycled.
I am fed up with hearing the argument that having another site will increase traffic movements across the city.
At the moment there is a Cityclean depot near this proposed site where the empty rubbish trucks are stored.
The proposal is to increase the number of these trucks from 100 to 200 and to have the trucks continually returning from all over the city to this central point to empty their loads.
I might not be a traffic expert but it doesn't take a lot to figure out that all these trucks returning to one site will be worse for congestion.
