On Saturday more than a hundred peace campaigners from around Sussex assembled at the Peace Statue on Hove Lawns for a march through Brighton organised by Sussex Action for Peace.
Led by representatives of local communities holding a colourful banner which read "united against racism, united for peace, united in Brighton", the marchers progressed through the city to The Level, where they were addressed by speakers including Andrew Murray from the Stop The War Coalition.
Murray said: "We condemn terrorist attacks. But we have to understand the root causes of terrorism and one of those reasons is the war in Iraq."
