Surely the development of the King Alfred site in Hove should be to provide a bigger and better sports centre, retaining all the present facilities.
We need play areas for the very young to indoor bowls for the older residents of the city and this should not be threatened by building a monstrous high-rise tower block of 750 flats.
Councillors of Brighton and Hove City Council, elected by the residents of the city to look after our interests, are selling us out.
Thousands of people have displayed "No Seafront Towers" posters in their windows. Nobody wants this tower block, which will not only be an eyesore and out of keeping with the rest of Hove seafront, but will have a terrible environmental impact on traffic/parking, public transport, medical facilities, water and sewerage.
