I was horrified to see fish left on Brighton beach gasping for air last week.
Dads and their children were hauling them out of the sea one by one, leaving them to flounder on the beach without putting them out of their misery.
Fish feel pain out of biological necessity, just as other animals do. They possess a brain, a central nervous system and pain receptors all over their bodies.
Without the ability to feel pain they would not survive. I urge people not to encourage their children to become the new generation of animal abusers.
