Tony Blair and New Labour continue to demolish civil liberties. Having successfully abolished the automatic right to a fair trial, they have now banned the right to any protest in the area around Parliament.
There have already been several arrests in recent weeks for simply holding banners in Parliament Square. If we are not able to protest against our representatives at their place of work, where can we protest?
This is all under the guise of fighting the war on terror.
They have blurred the line between civil and criminal law using antisocial behaviour orders to restrict peaceful protest and abusing the Protection from Harassment Act 1997, which is being used against peaceful protesters against the EDO weapons factory in Brighton.
Many other changes to the legal system have been introduced to clamp down on persistent protests.
Mr Blair repeatedly says he will not allow terrorists to change our way of life and freedom while, at the same time, he is busy dismantling the very structure of our lives and freedoms.
We have seen terror and bombs before but this attack on our hard-earned freedoms by the Government is unprecedented.
Many of us know exactly where we are headed but we are a minority. It is time everyone in the country woke up to what is happening before it is too late.
The act of dissent is slowly being "rebranded" by the Government so it can be seen as a terrorist activity.
Any opinions which might not coincide with the view that the war in Iraq and the Middle East is a fight for freedom or that the US and UK might possibly be wrong would, in saner times, be called "free speech".
These days, it is seen as treason and draconian action in the form of deportation has been taken against individuals who cannot hold their tongue.
So fight the real war on terror: Remove Tony Blair and his henchmen.
These people have already destroyed our way of life and are directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocents abroad.
They cannot face the simple truth that their wars have been paid for in this country with the blood of those who died in the
London bombings. They must be held accountable.
