Brighton is the UK's gay wedding capital, according to a new survey.
The resort was named by 30 per cent of people as the perfect wedding location in an online poll carried out by radio station Gaydar.
In second place was London (27 per cent), followed by Edinburgh (16 per cent), Manchester (15 per cent), Liverpool (six per cent) and Leeds (four per cent).
The survey found respondents shunned more exotic locations such as Australia for a European city break.
The survey was conducted ahead of civil partnerships, commonly known as gay weddings, becoming legal on December 21.
Gaydar manager Jamie Crick said: "The survey proves gay men are romantics at heart as they opt for honeymoons in European cities such as Venice and Paris. It also proves many gay couples are planning to get hitched and the gay wedding market will explode over the next couple of years."
The online survey was completed by 1,877 people.
