he last two Tests between England and Australia have been incredibly close affairs as the two nations have thrown everything at each other to win the Ashes.
At Birmingham, England came within an inch of losing but just succeeded in bowling out the Aussies.
Then at Manchester Australia just managed to hang on for a draw.
It has been nail-biting stuff and, with the series still poised at 1-1, there is everything to play for.
How I will miss such scenes next summer, when the rights to screen Test cricket will be with Sky - despite everything Channel 4 has done for the game.
The England and Wales Cricket Board should hang its head in shame after selling the sport's soul to Sky, thus removing it from the wider public.
I hope English cricket will survive but many aspiring Freddy Flintoffs may now never even discover the game.
