A company has helped supply thousands of green ribbons worn to demonstrate support for Muslims.
Paul Crowther, director of Plane Speaking, in East Grinstead, is fulfilling an initial order worth £20,000 but his company is not making a profit.
Mr Crowther said: "We won't make any money on this order - we are just pleased to be part of it.
"If the vast majority of people knew the basic rules of Islam and the way that Muslims live, they would have only admiration for them. I sincerely hope this campaign will catch on all over the country."
The Good Faith Ribbon campaign was launched at an Islamic school in Nottingham on Friday.
It gives people the chance to show their backing for the faith community.
According to police figures, there has been a rise in racially-motivated incidents nationwide since last month's terror attacks, which were blamed on Islamic extremists.
