A 20-year-old man accused of stabbing to death a grandmother during a children's party at a McDonald's restaurant will stand trial at Lewes Crown Court next year.
Shane Freer, a former McDonald's employee, is charged with murdering Jackie Marshall as she supervised the party at the diner in Terminus Road, Chichester, on April 16.
Freer, of First Avenue, Batchmere, Chichester, has denied murder. His trial is due to start on January 9.
Mrs Marshall, 57, of Southbourne, near Chichester, who worked for the fast food chain for 15 years, had been married for 38 years.
