Lynn Daly's comments (The Argus, August 9) about the mess made of Preston Park by the Pride event were spot on.
My wife and I live just north of the park and are in it for one reason or another most days.
We have been dismayed by the scale of the aftermath of Pride and very disappointed by the time taken to do the clearing up.
Why did clearing-up seem to start by the main road and work east, rather than the reverse?
It is the Preston Park Avenue side which is most used by families and others for casual recreation and which it would be appropriate to return to normal use first.
Can it be that the appearance of the park from the main road took priority?
