A couple have been forced to close their award-winning specialist shop because of parking problems, high rent and continual roadworks.
Philip and Corrinne Jevon, who have run the Jevoncraft 2 arts and craft shop in Station Street, Lewes, for the past nine years, have decided to move away from from the area.
Mr Jevon, 57, said: "We cannot blame it all on the parking, as some people do, but increases in rent and rates, together with the parking, continual road works and a downturn in retail sales generally, are all parts of the problem.
"We are very grateful to all those customers that support us but, despite winning the Sussex Express Customer Service Award, there are not enough people coming through the door."
