A cricket-mad teenager is being given a VIP day out after his dream of playing with former England captain Mike Gatting fell through.
Lewis Gimple, 16, of Badgers Croft, Seaford, has been playing cricket since he was ten.
His parents bought him a voucher from Red Letter Days, run by TV celebrity business expert Rachel Elnaugh, to meet former England captain Mike Gatting.
Lewis was left heart-broken when his day out at Lords was cancelled after the company collapsed owing £12 million to suppliers.
Now Derbyshire County Cricket Club has stepped in to save the day.
The club has provided VIP seats for Lewis and his father Tony, 46, to watch the match against Sussex on Sunday.
Lewis will spend the morning training with the club coach and possibly members of the squad.
Mr Gimple said: "He's well chuffed. It just goes to show every cloud has a silver lining."
