Brighton is the most popular place in the country from which to send a postcard.
A record number will be sent this year as holidaymakers continue to pass on "wish you were here" messages, despite the increased popularity of emails and texts, the Royal Mail has predicted.
About 134 million postcards will be delivered in the summer months, including an expected 27 million on August 12. This is forecast to be one of the hottest days of the year.
The number of postcards sent by people on holiday in this country has increased by ten per cent in recent years, according to research.
Postcards from abroad are set to increase by 15 per cent this year, according to the report.
Brighton was the most popular place from which to send a postcard, followed by Scarborough, Bournemouth, Blackpool and Skegness.
