On a glorious summer's afternoon, there is real delight in walking along the splendid undercliff path from Rottingdean to Saltdean.
On arrival, what could be nicer than a refreshing cup of tea? But I had no such luck.
The cafe is boarded up and in the process of being systematically vandalised.
Walk through the undercliff tunnel and you find the marine path is tatty and overgrown and the railings are in a state of decay.
Visit the Saltdean lido and it's empty, half-derelict and over-priced.
With some care and refurbishment, this little art-deco gem could be humming with visitors and tourists.
Why, therefore, is it being allowed to go to rack and ruin? I think we should be told by Brighton and Hove City Council.
