A new college has been launched following a merger.
Haywards Heath College and Crawley College have joined to become Central Sussex College with campuses in Crawley, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, East Grinstead and Horsham. It has 1,000 staff, 3,000 full-time students and 15,000 part-time students.
Henry Ball, the Learning and Skills Council's regional director for the South-East, said the college would offer academic and vocational courses tailored to the needs of the towns and would have a crucial role in meeting employers' training requirements.
