A post office that closed after the postmaster resigned has been resurrected at a new site nearby.
The closure of the post office in Broadfield Place, Crawley, caused upset in the local community.
The new branch will be at 20-22 Broadfield Barton, Broadfield. There will be wheelchair access, a low-level counter and hearing loop facility.
A Post Office spokesman said: "We would like to apologise to customers in Broadfield for the extended closure of their branch.
"However, we are delighted to announce these proposals offering the restoration of post office services so close to the former branch."
The new branch will operate longer hours than its predecessor and will open from 9am to 5.30pm on weekdays and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.
