I work in Leadenhall Street in the City of London and, at about 9.50am on July 7, we were evacuated from our office.
The City of London Police and emergency services were exceptional in the co-ordination of this mass evacuation.
Sometime later, we were sent home but because of the alert at Brighton Station, it was an extremely slow-moving journey, although Southern's railway staff were compassionate and forthcoming with information.
This seemed to help bond commuters together and showed the resolve British private and public-sector workers have in dealing with such adversities.
My thoughts and condolences go to all those more directly affected by this terror attack than myself and commend, in particular, those professionals who enabled so many of us to arrive home safely.
-Tim Hodges, Brighton
