The Brighton and Hove Bus Company has been given the award of best public transport in the UK but compare it with similar award-winners on the Continent.
Buses in Zurich are two to three times quicker because they have priority at traffic lights and bus lanes aren't interrupted every couple of yards.
There are also bus stops at all the train stations and "saver tickets" are valid on buses and trains.
I agree completely with Chris Todd (Letters, July 6) that public transport in Brighton and Hove could be much more efficient with very little investment.
