ALBION boss Brian Horton has rubbished speculation linking him with out-of-favour Huddersfield goalkeeper Steve Francis.
Horton is keen to strengthen the Seagulls' slender squad, but he is happy with the three keepers on the books. "It's a load of rubbish," he said. "Mark Ormerod's had two clean sheets on the spin. I've seen a lot of Nicky Rust and he's a very capable keeper. "I also like Will Packham. He's done well in the Reserves, so the goalkeeper is not a position I'm even looking at. "It's a couple more outfield players that I want." Horton has already tried to bring in a striker from his old club Huddersfield, but Alex Dyer chose Notts County instead. Michael Mahoney-Johnson's month on loan from QPR expires after Saturday's all-ticket trip to Barnet, when Robbie Reinelt could be back in contention. Reinelt has resumed training after a knee injury and is likely to figure in the Reserves at Portsmouth tomorrow night. Doncaster, now 12 points adrift of Albion at the bottom, play their game in hand at home to Scarborough tonight.
