ALBION'S teenage discovery John Westcott looks like missing the rest of the season.

Substitute Westcott was carried off in the closing stages of last Saturday's victory over Scunthorpe. He has a torn right hamstring, which seems certain to rule him out of the Seagulls' five remaining matches. Physio Malcolm Stuart confirmed: "Unfortunately it looks quite bad and it could well mean his season is over. "You can safely say he will be out for three to four weeks." Winger Westcott, 18, has just been awarded a two-year contract by Brian Horton after forcing his way into the first team on a regular basis. The news on Andy Ansah is more encouraging after the non-contract striker dislocated his right shoulder against Scunthorpe. Club doctor Tim Stevenson put the shoulder back into place immediately and that prompt action means Ansah's recovery could take as little as a fortnight. Horton will be forced into at least one other squad change for Saturday's trip to Notts County, because 17-year-old defender Ben Andrews is suspended. County have already been crowned Third Division champions. Crawley midfielder Simon Wormull, signed on a month's contract by Horton, suffered a reaction over the weekend to a foot injury so he misses today's Combination game for the reserves away to Charlton (2.0). Albion give a debut to Adrian Williams, a mid-fielder freed by Portsmouth, in the Reserves at Charlton tomorrow (2.0). Albion Reserves: Rust; Piper, Barrett, Haddow, Woolsey, Smith, Linger, Williams, Mills, Reinalt, Streeter. Subs (from): Saul, McNally, Leggatt, Davis, Ottley.
