JAILED Sussex businessman Robert Feld is being sued for fraud by his sister.
Feld, former chief executive of the Brighton-based Resort Hotels group, is serving a five-year sentence after being convicted of a £20 million share deal fraud. Roberta Feld has issued a High Court writ against her brother and four other Resort directors. She claims to have lost more than £70,000 of her own money when the company collapsed. She accuses her brother of making false statements and forging documents, and also names accountants Cooper and Lybrand in the writ, accusing them of negligence in failing to spot the fraud. Roberta, who lives in Brighton, was not available for comment. Feld was responsible for running a string of hotels across the country, including the Norfolk and Preston Continental in Brighton. At the height of his success Feld, son of former Brighton mayor Alfred Feld, lived at The Green, Rottingdean, and kept a yacht in the South of France.
