PLANS to demolish the former headquarters of the Alliance Building Society next to Hove Park were revealed today.
Barratt Homes wants to build an estate of 113 homes on the site, as well as 30 shops and offices with flats above. The Alliance Building Society, founded in Brighton, moved its headquarters to the Midlands after a merger turned it into the Alliance and Leicester. The Sixties office block off Orchard Road is in a largely residential area apart from the Co-Op superstore next door and Coral's Stadium in Nevill Road.
