SUSSEX Enterprise chalks up a record this month.
The county's combined chamber, TEC and business link has just signed up East Grinstead-based Papergraphics as its 2,000th member. It is the first time in the organisation's 54 year history that membership has hit the 2,000 figure. Papergraphics produces specialised paper for digital graphic, computer aided design and scientific use. Joint managing directors John Selby and Mike Lloyd, with Sussex Enterprise's new chairman Norman Boyland and chief executive Ken Caldwell, planted a tree to mark its membership. Sussex Enterprise hopes to team up with the Sussex Wildlife Trust and the Millennium Treeline project to commemorate the milestone by planting 2,000 trees across the county. Mr Caldwell said: "Businesses recognise our environment is one of Sussex's major assets. This will be a good way of helping charities which maintain and develop that environment."
