BEN ANDREWS is back to bolster Albion's defence in the last game of the season at promotion-pushing Lincoln tomorrow.
The 17-year-old defender makes only his second senior start against the 25-goal partnership of Lee Thorpe and Colin Alcide. Andrews, awarded a professional contract by boss Brian Horton until the end of next season, was unfortunate to be sent-off for two bookable offences on his debut at Cardiff. He has been restricted to the bench since then, but the teenager returns tomorrow along with Ross Johnson, who is expected to recover from the back injury which kept him out of last Saturday's draw against Hull. Horton knows Albion will have to be tough in both mind and body as Lincoln, already in the play-offs, seek the victory which would secure the third automatic promotion place providing Torquay lose at Leyton Orient. The drum-bashing fans at Sincil Bank will create a carnival atmosphere and Lincoln are expecting their biggest League crowd for ten years. "I was impressed by them when I saw them at Shrewsbury," said Horton. "They are strong and well organised, their set pieces are tremendous and the League table doesn't lie. Mental and physical strength to win games is what has cost us and I think Lincoln have got that." Horton could revert to the 3-4-3 formation which worked to good effect in his first away match in charge at Rotherham after Albion's failure to retain a lead in their last four matches. "I have been disappointed with the goals we have given away and I might look at something different," he added. "Hopefully we will be quite adventurous. "The players should be trying to win it, first of all for pride, then their win bonus and for the other teams and, of course, the supporters. "We've lost three out of 11 since I have been here, which is not bad for a side second-bottom. I'd like us not to lose another and hopefully get that elusive away win we should already have had from Notts County, Shrewsbury, Cardiff or Rotherham." Lincoln make one change to the team which has taken seven points from the last three matches, goalkeeper Barry Richardson returning from suspension in place of John Vaughan. Lincoln: Richardson; Brown, Barnett, Fleming, Holmes, Austin, Walling, Finnigan, Smith, Thorpe, Alcide. Subs: Bailey, Martin, Witney. Albion (from): Ormerod; Linger, Atkinson, Minton, Woolsey, Hobson, Storer, Armstrong, Barker, Ansah, Thomas, Andrews, Mayo, Johnson, Hilton.
