CAE Invertron, the Sussex weapons simulator manufacturer, has bucked the trend of shrinking Far East markets and clinched another contract in the region.
The order, which the company said is "considerable", is for two of the company's latest generation of forward observer artillery trainers.
According to the company the contract was won in the teeth of fierce competition from companies in the U.S., Israel and Europe following a public tender announcement last year.
The equipment is due to be installed and commissioned by the end of this year.
Similar weapon trainers have recently been despatched from CAE Invertron's Burgess Hill factory to another East Asian customer.
David Myers, CAE Invertron managing director, said: "We are particularly proud to have this customer join the ever increasing list of users of our latest generation of simulators."
He said the equipment offered an "unparalleled" level of realism and value for money.
Mr Myers added: "It is a true compliment to the whole company that at a time of particularly tight fiscal conditions in the global market, especially in the Far East, that CAE Invertron has yet again won a tender for artillery trainers."
Two weeks ago the company moved into a new £10 million factory in York Road, Burgess Hill.
