DETECTIVES investigating a mail-order racket found thousands of CDs and pop videos crammed into a flat.
The haul, worth more than £60,000, was discovered during a dawn swoop at the property in Kemp Town, Brighton.
Officers spent hours searching through an estimated 4,000 CDs and 300 videos at the address in Eastern Road.
Arrested
Det Con Chris Davison, investigating, said: "It was like an Aladdin's Cave in there. There were thousands of them all over the place."
Detectives believe the offender conned mail-order firms by supplying them on the telephone with fraudulent credit card details.
Det Con Davison said: "We thought at first it was a clearinghouse and he was selling them elsewhere. But it appears he was using them for himself."
The CDs and videos were sent to a mail drop-off address in Brighton and then collected by the offender.
Det Con Davison said the scam had been going on for six months.
He added that investigations into how the offender obtained authentic credit card details are continuing.
Aman aged 50 was arrested and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
