ROD Thomas is unlikely to play for Albion again this season.
The injured wing wizard's ankle has improved after he spent last week at Lilleshall.
But Thomas revealed: "I have got another three or four weeks to go yet. The ankle is still very stiff and the season is realistically over for me.
"If I can get in a couple of games I will, but the main thing is getting my ankle right."
Thomas joined Albion from Chester for £25,000 in October. The fee was paid by the fans and he rewarded them with three goals in 11 games and a series of influential displays before a hamstring injury in the Christmas clash at Peterborough and suspension sidelined him.
He was due to make his comeback at Chester on January 15 but suffered two fractures to the left ankle in a training accident the day before.
"This is the worst injury of my career," said Thomas. "The ankle is a lot stronger than it was, but I am still jogging with a bit of a limp and it is still not right for contact or all-out training and running.
"It seems I have been out for even longer, because prior to this injury I pulled my hamstring. I haven't played a game this year, which is a bit unfortunate."
