The Seagulls have abandoned plans to send their wing wizard on another rehabilitation visit to Lilleshall in a desperate attempt to get him fit for the last three matches of the season.
Thomas has not played for Albion this year. He hurt a hamstring at Peterborough at Christmas, then suffered a serious ankle injury in training the day before his intended comeback against his old club Chester.
Andy Arnott (shin) and Lee Doherty (dead leg), who both missed Tuesday's defeat by Cambridge United, will be available for Saturday's trip to Plymouth Argyle.
Paul Armstrong is still sidelined by a shoulder problem and boss Jeff Wood is on the sick list as well.
He has an operation today to repair torn knee cartilages, but will be back in action for the journey to Home Park.
