POLICE are investigating complaints from dozens of holidaymakers who claim they have been ripped off by a Brighton travel firm.
Some say they booked trips by credit card and returned to find their card numbers had been used for other transactions.
And some HIV positive tourists say they were promised travel insurance, paid the premium but later found they had gone abroad with no cover.
Police raided the firm yesterday and arrested two men aged 34 and 40. The men were notcharged and were later released on police bail while investigations continue.
Police declined to name the firm but the Argus has learned that the raid took place at Mantours Leisure UK Ltd, based at Concord House business centre in Margaret Street, off Brighton seafront.
Police have received between 30 and 40 complaints and it is understood the Civil Aviation Authority and Inland Revenue are taking an interest in the case.
