TERRIFIED bank staff handed over cash to a gun-toting robber.
Police are now hunting the man who threatened a female cashier with a pistol before running off.
The robbery happened in High Street, Battle, at 12.30pm yesterday.
The man walked into Lloyds Bank and approached a member of staff. He then produced a gun and demanded cash.
An undisclosed sum was handed over and the robber fled north up the High Street.
There were no customers in the bank at the time and the cashier was not injured.
The robber was in his thirties, of medium build and 5ft 9ins tall. He had short dark hair, a pale complexion and was wearing a light jacket and jogging bottoms.
