A FATHER of two has been cleared of rape for the second time in three months.

Adrian Tubb, 34, was warned by a judge to take care in any future relationships after yesterday's hearing at Lewes Crown Court.

Mr Tubb, formerly of Harmsworth Crescent, Hangleton, Hove, walked free after Judge Richard Hayward ordered a jury to find him not guilty.

In February a jury took less than ten minutes to clear him of a separate charge of rape.

Both allegations related to separate incidents and the women were not connected.

Judge Hayward told him: "You should be very careful in your relationships with women because you do not want your actions to be misinterpreted again."

His acquittal yesterday followed a rape allegation made by a 26-year-old at a party in Hove in April last year.

The case was stopped after the woman gave evidence.

She admitted she did not say anything while the alleged incident was taking place and could not be sure Mr Tubb had sex with her.

In February a jury cleared Mr Tubb of raping a 24-year-old woman at another address in Hove after he had walked her home following drinks with her and his common-law wife.

She claimed Mr Tubb had raped her after he started fondling and kissing her. She had blacked out and woke to find Mr Tubb on top of her.

Mr Tubb had denied the offence and the court was told the woman was too drunk to remember what had happened.

Mr Tubb declined to comment after yesterday's hearing.
