POLICE investigating allegations of child prostitution have raided three addresses in Brighton and Hove.
Two people were being questioned today after the arrests yesterday afternoon.
The man and woman, both in their forties, were arrested at massage parlours and taken to Brighton's John Street police station.
Officers yesterday searched both Hove massage parlours, Angels Delight in Waterloo Street, and Top-to-Toe in Lower Market Street, Hove.
Det Insp Chris Ambler, heading the inquiry, stressed no evidence of children being used as prostitutes had been found, but he said inquiries were continuing.
The operation was launched after a tip off.
Mr Ambler said: "We are carrying out this inquiry to confirm or deny whether children were involved in prostitution.
"We have executed three warrants and two people have been arrested. No children have been found on the premises and no evidence has been found yet to confirm any were there.
"Our investigation is in its early stages and it is extremely important that we explore any suggestion that children are being abused."
Both Hove parlours had "closed" signs on their doors last night.
Police answered the door to Top-to-Toe and turned customers away.
Nobody from either massage parlour was available to comment.
