FISH the physio is the man getting Worthing in shape for their big cup day.

The Woodside Road physio, real name Alan Robertson, takes his ghetto blaster to games to help get the boys buzzing in the run-up to kick-off time.

And he's been busy in the treatment room this week making sure Rebels are in prime condition for their first round tie at Rotherham on Saturday.

Fish revealed: "I've been taking the music to gamwes for the past couple of seasons.

"It gees them up before a game and helps settle the nerves a bit."

He joked: "The music's all down to me, DJ Fish. I've got some mates in the lcoal clubs and thyey make me tapes of what's beeing played on the dancefloors."

Skipper Mark Burt had treatment before training at Woodside Road last night while Paul Kennett sat the session out due to a foot injury.

But the Rebels physio does not expect there to be any problems ahead of the big day.

He revealed: "Mark Burt got a dead leg and we've just given that another revamp, and Simon Funnell has been carrying a back injury, but he'll be okay.

"Paul Kennett had his foot trodden on at Dover but it's virtually cleared up and he'll be fine."

Fish owes his nickname to the fact that he's a commercial fisherman down on Worthing seafront.

And some of the Woodside Road squad are among his most regular customers.

He said: "The fish goes down well with the players. We're catching cod and bass at the moment and there'll be herring later on.

"We also catch a lot of Dover sole... and that's been popular over the past week for some reason."
