BASKETBALL: Sheffield Sharks' supremacy over Brighton Bears continued with a thrilling 89-84 win after overtime in the Uni-ball Trophy last night.
This was the fourth time Bears have been beaten by Chris Finch's well drilled team this season and the second time Sharks have come out on top in the trophy against them.
But gallant Bears pushed Sharks all the way at the Sheffield Arena, and the hosts needed a three-pointer from Todd Cauthorn two seconds from the end of regulation time to tie the scores at 77-77.
Sheffield now go through to the quarter finals as winners of Group D and Bears can qualify with them with a win at Chester on Sunday.
Bears: Gaines 24, Claxton 22, Sharp 12, Trojanowski 11, Brown 10, Hildreth 4, Brame 1.
