Reds also had goalkeeper Andy Little sent off for handling outside the area in the 36th minute after Bobby Zamora, on loan from Bristol Rovers, had netted No.4 in the 33rd.
Crawley manager Bill Smith said: "I've no axe to grind over the sending off because, to be honest, I didn't see it fully from where I was, although Andy said that he didn't do it.
"But as far as I was concerned the game was already lost at that point.
"What we lack is confidence and three or four experienced players to get somewhere near the side that I want. Bath are a very good side and Zamora was a real headache to us."
Ian Payne took over in goal for Reds and made some good saves, but he was beaten in the 41st minute by Jon Holloway. The second period was more of the same with Colin Towler heading home in the 61st minute and Mark Harrington completed the scoring in the 77th. Paul struck his first and second goals in the 15th and 16th minutes.
Crawley's Francis Vines had a shot kicked off the Bath goal line by Stuart James at 3-0.
