Ashley Edwards had given the visitors the lead, but Paul Reaney levelled just before half-time and second-half goals followed from Pat Lawrence, Tim Marshall and Darren Webber.

Delighted boss George Parris said: "It was the proverbial game of two halves. They had a lot of the play in the first half and our keeper, Terry Fox, made at least three or four good saves, but we took our chances in the second half."

Danny Hinshelwood made it two wins out of two in charge at Selsey as Three Bridges were seen off 3-0.

But it wasn't a completely good day for the family as his brother Scott was sent off for two bookable offences.

Boss Danny praised his side's effort. He added: "We didn't play pretty football but we can't afford to in our position."

Matt Hurst, Ian Ford and Darren Lowery got the goals.

Eastbourne United at last picked up a precious home win after battling past Littlehampton 3-1.

Chris Piper, a great right foot Lewis Fry strike and Dale Seymour did the damage against a Marigolds side who replied through Carl Lloyd from a free-kick.

United boss Micky French admitted: "We got panicky at

1-1 but I thought we deserved to win because we kept the ball well."

Eastbourne Town were also celebrating after beating Hassocks 3-2 in a lively tussle at The Saffrons.

Richard Hughes, Mike Watkins and Mark Pinch did the trick for Town. Eddie French and a James Laing penalty kept Robins in the game.

Happy away day

Whitehawk picked up their second away win of the league campaign when Lee Sale punished untidy Redhill defending on 37 minutes.

Hawks were stretched for the first 15 minutes but competed well from then on and Jamie Quinlan wasted a chance to give them breathing space.

Goalkeepers ruled the day as Pagham drew 0-0 with Wick. Home keeper Wes Hallett made several good saves, while Wick's John Keeley made one particularly impressive stop from Lee Stevens in the first half.
