A HOLLYWOOD film production company which accidentally paid a former employee more than £25,000 is suing for its return.
Milk and Honey Films Inc, which is currently working on a new Disney title, has issued a High Court writ against Stephanie Lang-Hahn from Hastings.
Mrs Lang-Hahn, of High Street, worked as the company's representative from July 1997 to November 1998.
Last November, the company planned to wire $42,099 to a London bank account to finance a new project.
But the money, which is the equivalent of about £26,000, was accidentally sent to Mrs Lang-Hahn's bank account, according to the writ.
Last month, a company representative asked for the money back but it had yet to be returned, it is claimed.
Speaking at her Hastings home, Mrs Lang-Hahn said she was unable to talk about the writ in detail as the matter is currently in the hands of her solicitors.
She said: "I was setting up a company for them over here. I was their representative in the UK.
"I can't say too much more than that at this stage.
"All this is quite a funny story really. I certainly have no bad feelings towards the company itself."
Milk and Honey Films Inc is currently developing a film of Beautiful Losers, the cult novel by singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen.
