LORENZO Pinamonte wants to stay with Albion for good.
He signed for the Seagulls yesterday afternoon for a second month on loan from Bristol City.
But the big Italian striker fears the departure of manager Tony Pulis from Ashton Gate to Portsmouth may have damaged his hopes of a permanent move.
Pinamonte said: "I don't know what will happen when the month is up, because at Bristol City it is a developing situation.
"I know Brighton put in an offer to buy me and I am happy about that.
"I like it here. I like Brighton, the fans and the atmosphere.
"It's very friendly and I would love to stay.
"I am also happy because it means first-team football. The problem is that Tony Pulis has gone and I think a new manager at Bristol would want to see me.
"I am still a Bristol City player, so if they call me back I have to go. But I have signed for a month again and maybe more after that."
Albion tabled a bid below Bristol's asking price prior to last Saturday's home defeat by Leyton Orient, when Pinamonte's initial month expired and Pulis took charge of Portsmouth for the first time.
Reserve coach Leroy Rosenior, chief scout Tony Fawthrop and youth academy director David Burnside have been put in charge at Ashton Gate until further notice.
Brentford boss Ron Noades watched Pinamonte play for the Seagulls at Rochdale earlier this month.
They are understood to have made a modest offer for the 21-year-old former Foggia forward, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Albion manager Micky Adams, currently up north on a scouting mission, is watching the youngsters tonight in their FA Youth Cup fourth round showdown against Everton at Goodison Park.
