Ice-skating legend Robin Cousins gave his final public performance last night.
Cousins, who won the Olympic and European Championships in 1980, took to the ice for the last time with the spectacular Holiday On Ice show at the Brighton Centre.
After a standing ovation, Cousins went on to a party at the Grand Hotel.
The guest list included fellow skating stars Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, TV commentator Barry Davies and the BBC sports broadcaster and former tennis ace Sue Barker.
Cousins, who made his professional debut in Brighton 20 years ago, said: "At some point you have to say 'enough is enough'.
"I still feel I am in great shape. I have seen a couple of my performances and I know I can still do it. I want to be able to walk away and still feel a passion rather than going out there and have people thinking, 'oh dear'."
Cousins plans to take up a post behind the scenes as a producer and said there will be no comebacks.
