WORTHING skipper Mike Imrie is out to upset one of his oldest rugby adversaries as the Sussex Trophy reaches its finale at Lewes tomorrow.

Scrum-half Imrie leads out underdogs Worthing looking to deny Haywards Heath a fifth succesive final victory.

Skippering the red and backs will be flying winger Henry Goodburn, in charge of the side for the first time in a final.

Imrie said: "We've known each other for years. I played against Henry in the minis and we were in the same side for the county colts.

"I haven't seen him for a couple of years and it will be good to shake his hand as captain.

"Unfortunately I might not get the chance to catch up with him during the match but I'll order my winger to do it instead."

Imrie, who led to his side an impressive win at East Grinstead in the semis, added: "We've had three training sessions and it has been good week for us."

Worthing have yet to announce their side but outside half Andy Ashwin is back from injury and set for an intriguing tactical battle with Jon Graham, his rival for a Sussex place.

Heath's line-up is dependant on centre Giles Goodburn and lock Alex Gander recovering from groin strains suffered in training.

They have turned on spectacular rugby this season and a glance at their replacements bench underlines strength of their squad.

Skipepr Goodburn said: "I'm not really nervous but I'm so keen for the guys to perform the way we know they can.

"We weren't at our best last week but to play like that and win is still okay and there's a good atmosphere in the squad."
