ALBION manager Micky Adams wants fans to relish the unbeaten run, rather than think of promotion.
The Seagulls have gone ten games without defeat following Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to leaders Rotherham. Other results went against them and they are seven points and six places adrift of the play-offs with four matches remaining.
But Adams said: "I have got no complaints whatsoever. We were terrific. It was a difficult game, playing the top of the table team, and we got a point. Maybe in the context of the season it's not enough, but fans should enjoy the fact that our unbeaten run is still going and the top team couldn't beat us.
"I am more than happy with what the players did on Saturday and I think the people of Brighton will be as well."
Paul Watson's first half free-kick was cancelled out by a similar effort from Rotherham's Steve Thompson eight minutes later to leave Albion in 13th.
Torquay's match at Southend was called off, but six of the seven other sides immediately above the Seagulls at the start of play won.
Cheltenham, the odd team out, have dropped into the last play-off spot after a 1-0 home defeat by improving York, Albion's hosts this Saturday.
Adams revealed: "I said to the boys after the game they have possibly left it a little bit too late this season and they must feel gutted because of that. But we have got 12 points to play for and we will try to win as many games as we can."
Referee Paul Danson let the game go-ahead following a mid-morning inspection. Supporters responded to a plea from chief executive Martin Perry to help clear surface water off a boggy Withdean pitch.
"Well done to everybody who worked so hard to get the game on and to both sets of players," Adams added. "It was an entertaining spectacle in difficult conditions."
