SUSSEX are ready to Cook up more County Champ-ionship woe for derby rivals Kent this afternoon.
Nick Killick and his men meet their cross-border neighbours at Worthing (3pm) aiming to build on a promising 23-16 defeat of Dorset & Wilts in last week's opener.
They can also add to the misery of a Kent side thrashed 75-12 by Oxfordshire on Easter Monday.
Haywards Heath duo Dave and Andy cook are called in, along with Crawley centre Richard Billings, for this second round of South Pool Two fixtures.
Skipper Killick is demanding his men forget about last weekend's results and prepare for a tremendous battle at Roundstone Lane.
The Haywards Heath hooker said: "It was a good start last week and we've sorted a few things out since then, such as scrummaging.
"I'm confident, but we won't read anything into Kent's result last week. They will be fitter than Dorest & Wilts and we missed three or four chances last week, which we can't afford again."
Sussex will have extra bulk in the second row after calling in No.8 Dave Cook and switching big Nick Dinsdale to lock, where will partner newcomer Nigel Turner.
Andrew Cook has recovered from flu and comes in at full back for Henry Goodburn, who must settle for a place among the replacements.
Although Goodburn's renowned finishing skills have been slightly blunted by injury of late, he remains a useful weapon to bring on in the closing stages if required.
But there was no way new wing Guy Young could be left out after his sensational efforts at Waterhall a week ago.
And, while right-sided Sammy Cole can cause exasperation at times, such as when he forsook a simple scoring pass to an unmarked colleague last week, he remains one of the men to whom Sussex will look for a bit of magic, similar to the try he scored against Cornwall at Worthing last season.
Justin Looney is feeling the after-effects of flu so also starts on the bench with Billings replacing him.
Victory for Sussex should set up a decider next Saturday with Oxfordshire.
Champions Cornwall open in Buckinghamshire today but the south west sides are already looking dangerous with Devon, Somerset and Gloucestershire all winning their first matches.
